I spent most of 2020 developing a solo performance concept exploring improvisation, drone loops and fx pedals.

I took inspiration from Indian classical music with its constant pushing-and-pulling of time, and its use of set moods and musical motifs laid as an improvisational framework. I’m still indebted to drone bands like Earth.

I’ve recorded most of my debut solo album with Tim Carr (though I suspect there will be some more recording to be done), as well as a special collaboration project.
